I’m thrilled to share that Shelly Rae Designs has officially relocated to the beautiful and inspiring town of Punta Gorda, Florida. This move marks a new chapter for my business, one that is deeply influenced by the natural beauty that surrounds me here. From the tranquil waters of the Peace River to the lush greenery of the nature preserve I now call home, every element of this breathtaking environment fuels my creativity and passion for art.
Nature as My Muse
Living on a nature preserve, with the Peace River, Charlotte Harbor and the Southwest Florida Gulf Coast just a stone’s throw away, has given me a fresh perspective on the world around us. The vibrant colors of the sunsets, the serene stillness of the water, and the rich textures of the flora and fauna all serve as daily inspiration for my work. Whether I’m out on the boat, exploring the coastline, or simply soaking in the warm Florida climate, I find myself constantly inspired to create new and exciting pieces that capture the essence of this incredible place.
Bringing Art to the Community
But it’s not just about creating art—it’s about sharing it with you. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be participating in art markets all around the Punta Gorda area. These events will give you the chance to see my work up close, discover new pieces, and perhaps find the perfect addition to your own collection. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community and bring the beauty of my surroundings into your lives.
Pop-Up Market Venue Coming Soon
And that’s not all! I’m currently collaborating with other artists Laurene Calabrese and Leslie Lewis. We’re opening a pop-up market venue right here in Punta Gorda. This space will be more than just a market—it will be a vibrant hub of creativity and collaboration. We’ll be teaming up with local musicians, food vendors, philanthropy groups and other talented artists to host a series of events that celebrate the best of what this area has to offer. From shopping and art exhibitions to live music and delicious food, these events will be a true celebration of community and creativity.
